Common Questions:
My Laptop won’t Turn On
The first thing to try is switch off the laptop, remove the power supply and the battery. Wait five minutes then without replacing the battery, plug the power supply into the laptop, switch on the power at the mains and try to boot the laptop. If it doesn’t power up it could be a faulty power supply. If it powers up then shut it down from within Windows. By this I mean properly shut it down not sleep or hibernate. Switch off the power supply and remove it, then replace the battery. Try to power up the laptop again, if it powers up then it should be fine, if not then it could be a faulty battery. If the laptop fails any of these tests it should be taken in for repairs. If you live in Kent or East Sussex we could come out and test it for you, or drop it in to us (do not forget the power supply). We are right in the middle of Kent just outside Ashford we can test the laptop and diagnose the problem. Once you know the costs of the laptop repair we can help you decide to either let us carry out the laptop repair or recover your data and move it to a new laptop.
My Laptop Screen is Off, Has Lines Down The Screen or is Dim
The screen probably needs replacing. It should be taken in for repairs. We can test the laptop and diagnose the problem. Once you know the costs of the laptop repair we can help you decide to either let us replace the laptop screen or recover your data and move it to a new laptop.
